suite style hotel in Paris

We are a family of five with 3 school-aged children. Looking for modestly priced two-room, suite style hotel in Paris. Any suggestions?

If you don't mind chain hotels I would suggest The Novotel Hotel by Accor Group, Holiday Inn or Best Western. <BR> <BR>These are the only hotels I could find that would accommodate my family of 4 in a larger room or suite. They all have 3 and 4 star hotels and are priced <BR>pretty well and they have a hotels in almost all locations.

I think it is going to be very difficult; triples and quads are rarer than doubles, of course, but room for five will not be easy (although if you can find a hotel with two doubles connecting, they may put a rollaway bed in one for a small child. I hope one of those kids is very small. It would help if you stated your budget as I think $200-250 is very modest to house five people, but I've seen queries from folks who want to spend only $80-100 for that, so your idea of modest would help as I know some places maybe $250+ but don't want to list them if they are pointless. First, I'd suggest Residence Henri IV (try www.france-hotel-guide.com), they have apartments for only about $200 and have a good Latin Qtr location. There are some modern apartmenthotels that might work, also (see www.apartmenthotel.com, www.citadines.com or www.home-plazza.com). There have been several posts on this board about places for quads in Paris if you want to search, but I think room for five is slightly more difficult.

I don't know this one personally, but it looks attractive, the location is fairly good, and prices downright cheap: http://www.hotelalhambra.fr/anglais/som_gen.htm (You would need two rooms; don't know if you can get them adjoining or not, but worth asking.) <BR> <BR>

I think I have said this about 25 times on this forum but once again please note that Best Western's in Europe are NOT like BW motels in the U.S. in thechain hotel sense. They are not part of a chain except to be affiliated with BW in a marketing way. BW hotels in Europe are individual (often small) hotels, each with a personal flavor. They are not mass produced, all the same places. We've stayed in several, all have been vastly different and the only thing they had in common was a BW affilation meaning they can be booked via the 800 number or web site of BW. I imagine they pay a fee to belong and meet certain guidelines as to standards. <BR>Most are 3*** hotels and pretty decent. There are a few BW's listed in Paris that offer a quad room, but since all hotels have small rooms you probably won't be able to move around much even if they let you get 4 in there! Typical "suite hotels" are not common in Europe. There is a hotel called Plazza Bastille that you might look into, that is considered a suite hotel. You might have to consider 2 rooms (connecting) if you cannot find something else. Orion Apartments might also be an option. Not knowing your budget makes it hard to recommend anything, to some modest priced may be $2,000 a night at the Ritz and to others it $50 a night. <BR>

Remembered hearing that the Hotel St. Christophe has room that can be joined to make a suite. It's well-located and pricces are quite reasonable. See: http://www.hotelboulevard.com/fr/par...123/hotel.html (w/many comments from prior guests)
