Suggestions on where to stay last night

Okay. We are flying into Dublin on a friday, we are staying there fri, sat, sun, and mon night. Then we are renting a car and driving to Kilkenny for a while, then staying in Cork possibly. We want to ultimately go to Dingle though. So stay a night in either Kilkenny or Cork, which will be Tues night. Then stay a night in Dingle Wed night, and we want to stay in a town closer to Dublin thurs. night b/c our flight is Fri morning. Somewhere we can visit and see things, but also to where we can wake up early and make it to our flight on time. Possible? I need suggestions on where to stay please!

How early is your flight on Friday? I generally prefer to stay close to the airport my last night, only to minimize those things that can cause me to miss a flight (especially if I have to return a vehicle). But knowing when your flight is might give someone a good idea of how far from Dublin might be possible given your flight time.

And not that you asked, but trying to get all the way to Dingle and only spending 1 night there may not be the best use of the few days you have outside of Dublin. I'm not saying don't do it -- it's your trip after all -- I'm just offering that as something to think about. There are a TON of places to visit in the East that are just as nice as Dingle, IMO.

If you must do the West, would you be able to change your plans to fly into Dublin and out of Shannon or vice-versa?

Oh yes, our flight leaves at 9:55 am on Friday. And we've changed our schedule. We are staying only 3 nights in Dublin, fri, sat, and sun. Then staying in a town near Cork (I believe Tower) for 2 nights, mon, and tues. Then staying wed night in Cashel. Thurs night we're still wondering. We could stay in Cashel a second night, but I'm worried about the drive in the morning. What's a good town to stay in near the airport? So it will only take us maybe 30 min to get there. Thank you in advance!

I have a question similar to Simesse. There are 8 of us spending a week in Ireland, all of us leaving from Dublin on Weds, March 24. Four of us are on a flight at 9:35, 2 on a flight at 8:45 and 2 on a flight at 6:10 (glad I'm not one of that duo!). I've been looking for a B&B on the north side of Dublin. Lusk, Skerries, Portmarnock each appear to be near to airport. Any suggestions? We do not have to all be in the same guest house but would like to be convenient to each other.
