Suggestion for October Itinerary (4-5 days in Europ
Hello all,
I'll be visiting Bremen, German for a conference. After the conference ends i.e. 30th September, I plan to take out 5 days to visit one or two cities. I have already been to Paris and Amsterdam.
Please suggest which cities will be good to visit during this time of the year (1st Oct-5th Oct). As of now I am thinking 2-3 days at Berlin and Prague each.
But then I won't mind trying out other options in place of the aforementioned.
P.S I have to still book my return ticket which I can book from anywhere in Schengen area as long as the city of departure affords me a decent price of air-ticket.
Regards,
Pulkit

Hi Pulkit
If you could mention the exact date and time in Bremen when you would start you vacation and also the day, time and place when you would fly out of Germany ( regional or international flight ), it would be helpfull to suggest.

Well, I am reaching Hamburg on 23rd September. I leave for Bremen on 25th. My conference is from 26-30th.
I plan to take out 5-6 days for tourism after 30th September (which implies that I'll book my return ticket for 6th October).
Kindly suggest what could be the best possible itinerary.
Thanks & Regards,
Pulkit

Hi Pulkit
Apologies that I missed some info that was in your original post. I am not an expert but recently I visited Prague and few other cities and can share my experience with you.
1 Air Travel : If you are traveling from India, you can book Emirates as that has a flight into Hamburg and out of Prague directly to Dubai. That way you will not have to come to Hamburg, just check the cost difference in the ticket v/s the additional cost to travel back to Hamburg to take a flight.
2. Berlin appears to be 3 hrs from Bremen and i suggest you move into Berlin on 30th evening . Then spend 01st and 02nd October in Berlin. I have never been to Berlin and dont know how much can be covered in 2 days. But if I were in your place , I would prioritize what can be done in 2 days , 1 night and complete the Berlin trip. I would then leave for Prague on 2nd night or 3rd early morning. There are direct trains / buses from Berlin to Prague.
3. 03rd - 05th October - Spend in Prague, which gives you 3 full days and 2 nights, which is more than enough for a Prague visit.
4. 06th October - Take the flight out of Prague
Prague : Prague Castle and church would take 3/4th of the day if you wish to visit everything in the castle, the Prague castle ticket is valid for 2 days so you can always come back the next day if you cannot cover in one day.
The Charles bridge is near the old town center and so is the Wenceslas square
You should also do the Petrina Hill and tower and also the TV tower which gives panoramic views of Prague.
Hope this helps

Thank you for your reply VIDHAMAA3.
Oh Damnit. I totally forgot to add those details.
Well, firstly I am a student and hence on a shoestring budget. I have seen that both Berlin and Prague afford cheap stay.
I won't mind some good beers first of all. I am a fan of beers
. Not a great food / musuems buff.
But I like the places which afford good scenic views & panaromic views. E.g.I liked places like - Trocadero in Paris, MAS in Antwerp, NEMO in Amsterdam etc.
Plus, local scene is always fun to see. E.g. I loved Montmartre in Paris. That was beautiful. Local artists playing music and sketching etc. Similarly, Amsterdam central in itself was pretty.
And lastly, some good night life. I like to Dance (a lot). So that would be great.
