Stolen Munch paintings have been recovered

Hi

It is now two years ago since the Munch paintings Scream and Madonna were stolen from the Munch museum. Since then the security in the museum has been beefed up. Hopefully the paintings will be back in the museum soon. Here is a picture of the Scream painting that has been gone for two years: http://gfx.dagbladet.no/nyheter/2004...krik_artik.jpg

10 years ago we were in Oslo and saw the paintings. The museum's windows were open for fresh air, and everything seemed so relaxed. They didn't realize that times they were achangin'.

That is AWESOME that the paintings were recovered. Did you read it in the news? I haven't heard anything, yet. There was an article in the local paper here (NJ) when the scream was stolen, and 2 locals were in the gallery when the robber hit. They heard all the hubub, and were sorry that they didn't get a better look at the thief. Anyway, thanks for the good news..

Gard...we were at the museum three weeks before the robbery! You can imagine our feelings when we heard about it after we arrived home. So happy that it has been recovered!
