Stockholm hotels

Hi guys!

My husband and I will visit Stockholm in July. We would like to stay at a hotel that's close to the city center, priced under $200 a night. Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Lina

On the recommendation of Swedish friends, we stayed at a Scandic hotel. There are several in Stockholm. They include a large buffet breakfast and have special rates on weekends during the summer months.

Also check out Kung Carl Hotel. It is excellent and I can highly recommend it. We stayed there for three nights. The room was large, clean and breakfast was also outstanding.
It is centrally located for easy walking or public transportation.

I stayed at First Reisen in Gamla Stan - could walk to most places, ferry down the st. It was slightly over $100/night but I booked air and hotel together on Expedia. Great buffet breakfast included. The building is 18th century so more charm than modern. functional bathroom. Bedroom was large and bed was comfortable. Desk staff were great.
