Stellarossa: the trip is over and I'm saying thanks.

Yes, you heard right, I'm saying thank you to every one who has helped both Emily and I either directly or indirectly in the last three months. List includes:
Art and all the people we met at his Long Beach bash.
Renee and Jules, Scottsdale
Jay Wagner and Family, Iowa
Tammy and the Cincinnati fodorites - next time I hope
Maira and husband, New York
Al and Ruth, Sedona
Al and Janet, Knoxville
Becca from Wisconsin
Elaine, NYC - again next time
Dan W (we did the outer banks, mate, and stayed in Jacksonville of all places - got a great military haircut there for 7 bucks)

And to everyone else who provided travel help to us on fodors....oh and anyone else I've forgotten. We've had a blast these past three months and already I'm working on the next trip!

Tony & Emily

ps www.edhenderson.com/tonyinamerica will be updated in the next few days, lookout!

Jeeze: Not even a mention. Wasn't it I who sang the praises of Durango, invited you all to Denver, tracked your where-a-bouts through California and now, not even a howdyado? Well that's it! I'm done for! You will never hear from me again! And here, all the nice things I've said about Scotland, well, I take it all back. You'd better think about expanding that list of yours. I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling peeohd. All I can say is, thank god some of your country men and women have enough of the p's and q's to attract our attention, nay, our devotion to that great land you hail from. And not to play too much on the p's and q's, but it should read 'Emily and Me."

P.S. How did Scottsdale compare to Scotland? What are people from Scottsdale called?
Just a Little Food for Thought,
Dr. Betty

Betty

I do believe you talked of Colorado AFTER we'd been there, sorry but cannot say that helped too much.

As for the me/I thing, you sound like my dad - he's always rumbling on about that difference, like it matters. Lighten up, yeah.

Hope you liked the Outer Banks Tony. You were there just in time. The Memorial Day crowds can be pretty tough. We just returned from a long weekend at Atlantic Beach, which is just south of what most people call the Outer Banks. Lots of traffic.

Dan, yes we avoided that however on the way to Charleston we drove through Myrtle Beach only to find out it was bikers week and there were an estimated 300,000 motorcylces there PLUS all these cops in unmarked chevy camaros.

Tony, biker's week must have been an interesting cultural experience. A good time to keep the kilt in the suitcase.

Your welcome Tony. Glad you were able to make it by, but I'd hoped that we'd have more time to talk. Anyway, I'm planning on visiting Scotland next year so will probably have lots of questions for you. Glad you had a great trip.
Regards
Art
Glad you enjoyed your travels in this country.
I was visiting a friend in Delaware, took the Cape May Ferry over,
I saw two people , imagined they could be you guys!
the woman did look a bit askance at me, when I approached her and asked if she was Emily.
but , would that not been a gas to just run into you by chance?!
Maybe next trip.

Nancy - we were in New England, we visited all 48 lower/contiguous states in our three months. I have to say, southern Vermont was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.

That was us on the ferry but we thought you were trying to sell us souvenirs or timeshare so we played dumb. Actually it wasn't nut next time we swing around your way we'll let you know.
