Status in Rome and Florence

Sorry if this has been mentioned. I can't keep up with all the message. I am scheduled to leave for Rome tomorrow if my flight isn't cancelled and was wondering how the tragedy in the States has affect normal operations in Rome and Florence. Are the museums and sites in Rome and Florence open? I was also relying on public transportation to get around Tuscany. Are trains and buses running on a normal schedule? Is there a Web site where I can check this status? Grazie.

vita

here we are under shock and it's a huge tragedy. the american people can be sure to have an enormous and huge solidarity from whole europe! tv stations, politic reactions everyone is feeling with you. here in florence the life goes on, museums are open and you will find the public transport going normally. there is a lot of police, american signs or things like that are for sure very very protected. the italian police is in high alert but you can come anyway.

tanti saluti

christina

By the way, thanks to the European community for their outpouring of support and prayers. Now let's work together to apprehend and shut down ALL terrorist operations.
