I absolutely love that video, Scarlett! What is it about it...I dunno. It's happy--it makes me smile on a miserable rainy day as I sit in my little casita, by myself, my DH half way across the country, and a ton of solo work ahead of me in preparation for our move...so if it breaks through that gloom it has some pretty strong positive vibes!!!

What is the story on him?

Scarlett
I think it must be close to nearly impossible to watch that without smiling, and it's a smile of enjoyment--I'm smiling WITH him, not just at him
thank you!

Who is this guy, Scarlett? What did the NYT have to say about him? I only watched through about the third "verse." Funny.

The Today Show featured the video and then had the Romanian Band on singing the song (this time in English) in the Plaza this week. Everyone agreed, the beat is contagious and you can't help but smile when watching the guy from NJ!

What a hoot! Never underestimate the power of music!

(And I hope nobody ever plants a cam in my living room while I'm listening to the Quadri cd or Rondo Veneziano)

We loved this and sent it to about 15 people. If you read the article, you find out the poor guy is mortified about his "fame."

I saw his video on the Today Show and loved it. I thought he was great. I kept humming the song all day.

I just read the New York Times article and was surprised to read that he is not happy with all the attention. It says he mopes around the house. Of course I have not idea what it would be like to be swamped with reporters. But, I just thought he was thrilled with it all. Anyway, I now feel badly for him, but suppose it should all calm down for him soon and hopefully his life will get back to normal.

How sad that this young man is unhappy as his video is wonderful! I enjoyed it so much. I did not know the language was in Romanian though. That is interesting.

Thanks for the link, Scarlett. "Earnest but painful" sums it up very well.

Bless his heart, he is 19. He is embarrassed by everything at that age..I just wish he could make some money on this- then he would not be moping around the house

Thank you, Scarlett!

I saw bits and pieces of this on the Today Show and just loved watching the whole thing today. Such pleasure and joy as he sang along to the Romanian song!

Castleton, you are so right. Music is a powerful means of communication.

Yes, Scarlett, I try to laugh, sing and dance every day! It will help to keep me young.

If you can't open the link, google Numa Numa and you'll find several other connections to the video.
