Hi

For a unique experience try http://www.millhouses.gr. I recall it was more or less at road level. Located in Firsstefani. Breathtaking views of the caldera - be there at sunset.

Thank you worldinabag for your recommendation. Unfortunately, the reviews on tripadvisor are rather iffy.
Any other suggestions?

No sorry. If you're lucky Brotherleelove may see your post and help you out. In the meantime what is your budget, when do you intend going and for how long.

Cheers

Take a look at the website for the Aspaki Suites in Oia. It will be listed as one of the two properties of Art Maisons - the Aspaki and the Oia Castle. We stayed in the Romeo and Juliet suite last month and it was wonderful. I had the same concern about steps because I had knee surgery previous to my trip. The location of the Aspaki is in the middle of Oia but out on the edge of the cliff which makes it extremely private. There seemed to be less steps than many of the hotels however I don't think you can get away from them completely anywhere in Oia. The views from the hotel are breathtaking and in case you need ice for your aching knees there is a full kitchen in your suite. Check out Trip Advisor for reviews and I know Brotherleelove will recommend it also.
