St. Remy to Uzes
Is it possible to do a day trip from St. Remy to Uzes? Looking at the map, it appears that it isn't very far but sometimes maps are deceiving.

We leave on Friday and I can't wait. I've already laid out the clothes to pack. I'm so excited about going to Provence. Just need to fine tune my travels.

Liz

Liz,
Uzès is about 50 minutes from St. Remy by car - a bit more if you hit some traffic on the two lane roads.

Frank,
This is a lovely town. A former duchy, the town is noted for the "duché" (the castle) and its pottery. Most of the town is pedestrian friendly and the Marché aux Herbes is a great place to have lunch.

PB

Hi

Uzes is a working medieval market town, sympathetically restored, and mostly pedestrian within the city walls.

It has great markets, and interesting architecture.

Read about the Languedoc area here -

http://tlp.netfirms.com/

Peter
Thanks for you information on Uzes. Patricia, will try the restaurant.

Monica,
I'll try to post a trip report when we return. I know you'll have a great time in May. I don't get back until the 6th.

Beth, will definitely include Pont du Gard.

Liz
