Spanish Train Strikes
The pain in Spain is mainly on the train! At least it will be if traveling on the following dates when strikes are to be expected; with the actual impact on train service to be seen. RENFE personnel are striking on: Aug 16, 31; Sep 17;30; Oct 1, 6, 7, 8 (3 straight days!) 12, 13; Nove 1,2,3,4 (4 straight days!), Dec 3, 8, 9, 10, 20, 21, 22. Hopefully negotiations will work and the strike will be curtailed.

Maybe someone with experience dealing with train worker strikes can answer this... I was planning on taking an overnight train from Granada to Barcelona on September 16th, but since it's overnight, it will take place during the 17th as well. Since this is a strike day, do I need to be worried even though my train will have technically left on the 16th?

My source was a RailEurope E-mail sent to their agents, presumably RailEurope got the info from RENFE (Spanish Railways) - they send these strike previews out so that we can advise clients of potential strikes. I don't know where RailEurope got the info but presume it's accurate.

Why are you standing?
Your question, phrased the way it was, to me at least, sounded like you were questioning the information. I guess if I wanted to read the article myself, I would have said so, like "PalQ, I'd like to read the article with that info, do you have a link you can post for me?".
That's all. If I'm the only one who felt your sentence was abrupt, I apologize.
