Reagan needed neither the air traffic controllers nor the Army to screw things up

Reagan needed neither the air traffic controllers nor the Army to screw things up
RR had a heavy lift cleaning up the economic chaos of Jimmy Carter. He also laid the groundwork for the end of the Berlin Wall and communist domination of eastern Europe. He told Gorby "Tear down this wall," an illegal wall that had been built under the eyes of John Kennedy who did nothing except to say "I am a Berliner." Booosh. I have traveled freely throughout eastern Europe over the last 20 years, something that would never have been possible had not the soviet monster not imploded. Unfortunately it looks like the old guard commies in Russia are bringing back the old days of tyranny and threats of war. They just can't accept liberty for the people, and their potential visitors.

"something that would never have been possible had not the soviet monster not imploded"
Imploded is what happened... nothing to do with RR's posturing.

I thought the Spanish Ministry of Defense had threatened the air traffic controllers to either sit through a nonstop presentation of Ronald Reagan's cinematographic oeuvre or to return to work immediately.

The man has been dead for years and before that suffered over 10 years of alzheimer's disease, but the hate never stops. Sad.

Our Spanish boarder leaves tomorrow for Madrid. Her mother is a flight attendant and they have been skyping for days. According to the mother, there is still a backlog of passengers to deal with, and that is causing continuing problems. I'm sure those of you in Spain are even more up to date but just thought I'd add what little I know.
