Spain Trip...need immediate help!
I need help immediately! We are travelling to Spain from NYC in August(yes I know how hot it is) to meet our son in Seville for 4-5 days. We would like to make this a 2 week trip. We have never been to Barcelona and visited Madrid and Toledo 38 years ago! Can you suggest an itinerary, hotels (with a pool), restaurants. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Download Maribel's guides from the following website:
http://www.maribelsguides.com/
The guides are a gold-mine of valuable information: Sights, hotels, restaurants, shopping, day trips. She is my first source when I am planning a trip to Spain and she has always steered me in the right direction.
If you land in Madrid, I suggest you take the fast-train (Ave) to and from Seville and check out Spanair (http://www.spanair.com/en/) for flights to and from Barcelona.
regards Ger

We love to walk through cities, villages etc so if a car is not necessary we will do without one. We are definitely interested in all sights musuems, beaches, and entertainment. How would you breakdown this trip regarding where and how long to stay?

Assuming you land and leave from Madrid
1. Cordoba (2 nights) Conquistador hotel)
2. Granada (3 nights) anywhere near plaza nueva
3. Seville (4-5 days)
You can spend the rest of the time in Madrid, possible overnights in Toledo or preferrably Segovia.
These are all on convenient train routes from Madrid.
