spain - self catering cottages
Hi all,
We plan to go to Spain next year and are researching areas to visit. We like to stay in our own cottage or villa where we can do our own meals, laundry, etc.
Any ideas for nice areas of Spain with cottage rentals? We do not necessarily have to be near the sea. Inland areas are sometimes the most interesting.

Do you know which time of year you will be traveling? You don't want a finca in Extremadura in August, or one in Galicia in January.
I wouldn't know of any cottage or finca which did not have a kitchen, so preparing your own meals is no problem. Laundry / washers may not be found everywhere.
Take a look at websites like www.holiday-rentals.co.uk
It gives a first idea where most villas and fincas are located, and where you will find the biggest choice.
And you can use the search engine to filter the results by your "must-haves".

Thanks Cowboy. That is a good website - many choices. Now have to decide on which areas of Spain to explore. Have gone to France on our last few trips - Spain is new territory. Only there once many years ago for four days in Tarifa/Gibralter area.
