If this helps, or for comparison: when I went to Spain, i took flights to Madrid, train from Madrid to Seville the day my plane arrived, spent 4 nights in Seville, 2 nights in Granada, 2 nights in Cordoba, day trip to castle of Almodovar del Rio early in the day and train to seville later in the da on the day inarrived in Madrid, 5 nights in Madrid with a day trip to Toledo, flights from Madrid back to Detroit.

If you try making a detailed day-by-day itinerary listing the museums and sights you most want to see, and maybe listing the extra sights you will see if you have extra time, and approximate times of the day you will arrive in and leave each city, you may get a better idea of how much time to spend in each city.

In Toledo if you see the army museum, allow 2 to to 3 hours to see it properly. I made a mistake going in an hour before they closed.
