Sorry to rant in your thread Comfy

Josele- I know what the flag of Japan looks like- I'm not an idiot! I was being sarcastic even a bit facetious. I was making the point that certain paintings like Reinhardt's " Black painting #34 or Newmans " Onement III or Rothko's " Red on Maroon" do not strike me as art. Art is subjective, I was just stating an opinion and in a way that obviously went over your head. LOL-

What strikes me is that there are people who actually "see" something on those paintings more ...I found that fascinating !!

laartista, I apologise, I was reviewing Comfy itinerary and my brain cells are upset.
Talking about Japan, what do you think of this?

Josele, As I told you in the e-mail, I deeply appreciate your multi-page insightful comments. Much appreciated.

Let me put in a plug for your website: http://www.jgonzalezbueno.com/ for others to see your art. Fantastic work, in my opinion.

Thanks again.

Yes, an amazing artist!!! The detail is wonderful. Now that's what I call ART! It looks loke most are watercolor or guache. At least the lanscapes do. What medium are you using for your figures. The woman in the shawl is my favorite. BTW, no apology necessary, I think alot of Fodorites have fast fingers, I hope you didn't take my reply as mean-spirited. That's why I laughed at the end. Anyway truely amazing work. Do you sell to any gallaries in the U.S.? If not and you want some contacts I'd be happy to give them.

Hello nice people,

I cannot believe my luck - I'm just starting to plan my trip to Spain and to find this thread...wow!

Comfyshoes, I am very interested in the info you've collectedd could i ask you for a copy, please? My intended itinerary is very similar to yours: starting with a week in Marbella (not free but still a good deal for some R&R and some daytrips from there, then three days in Madrid and two-three in Barcelona.

Still needs fine tunning but it's a start, no? Thanks.

Did you ever go to a bullfight? If your going you must understand it is an event where men on horses throw small spears into the bull. The tips have a drug on them to slow the bull down after about a half hour of that the Matador comes out and does his thing and then takes out a three foot sword places it behind the neck of the charging bull lancing his heart .The bull drops onto his knees,if its done correctly, then they come in with a couple of horses chain the bull up and drag him out of the arena. To some thats almost a religious experience to others like myself it ruined the rest of my vacation.I went and of course I knew what the outcome was beforehand, but when you actually experience it in my opinion its a very very brutal thing. Just wanted to bring it up.I see many people gave you so many wonderful ideas have a great time, everyone is different I just know it wasn't good for me.Good luck!

Just enjoyed browsing your website, josele.

Lovely! I especially enjoyed "Balconey to the Sierra" (where is this wonderful old building?), "After the Rain" and "Lazy Afternoon, Rhodes" (not sure if I remembered the titles).

Thank you!

Josele, They say Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. You can see it in what people like the most of your work. I love the portrait Shahrazad. Beautiful! Others too.

Miaspapa, I appreciate your advice about bull fights.

Mirela, Yes, absolutely. In exchange, you will see Josele's website and consider referring other friends to it. I don't know Josele at all but he worked really hard on my itinerary which I deeply appreciated. Shoot me a mail at [email protected] and I will send the now-complete itinerary.

Thank you Comfyshoes; I've emailed you.

Josele - the Alcatraz is on my list of things to see before I die - now I can look at our paintings too before I have a chance to actually travel there. Very, very nice.
