Spain hut to hut / inn to inn hiking with kids?

Hello, curious if anyone has done this? I'd love some ideas and links as I want to plan this from the USA before we go. Looking at September timeframe. Could be supported (like self guided through a company) or unsupported if possible. I am interested in the Calabrian mountains, Asturias region (such as Picos de Europa) and also the Spanish or even French Pyrenees. My kids (4.5 and 8) are decent hikers, probably can handle 6 miles/day max. Maybe a 2-4 night circuit. Also looked at Slovenia in the Julian Alps as they had some kid-friendly options but I am more drawn to Spain. Thank you!

Never done it but have climbed to a hut, the rather ¨famous¨ Cabaña Verónica, in Picos de Europa that does take groups of 4.
You can read about hut to hut in the Picos here.

Your automatic corrector probably typed Calabrian mountains instead of Cantabrian mountains...northern Spain is absolutely full of mountains everywhere, so finding thousands of hiking routes or trails will not be an issue. Picos de Europa, in both Asturias and Cantabria, could be a good place, although it may be quite demanding, as well as the Pyrenees.

In France, the trails system is known as "GR" (I think it is the same name in Spain). GR will always be clearly marked, well maintained and essentials (food, water, accommodation) will be available at the end of the day (with additional options during the day in most cases).

GR10 is crossing French Pyrénées from Atlantic ocean to mediterrareen sea.
I know quite well the 1st legs of the trail in the Basque country. No problems with kids, things goes much more serious after.
I hiked this part for day trips. Thus I can't say how easy it is to secure accommodation in "gîtes d'étape" and how the experience is for families.
