Spain “free” train offer

Has anyone traveled using the “free” train passes Spain is currently offering? It seems it might offer us a better price for train travel for our upcoming trip. We won’t travel enough trips to qualify to get it free, but the base price is a great deal. We’ll be traveling by train from Madrid to Cordoba, then on to Sevilla. Then from Valencia to Cuenca and then on to Madrid. I’m not sure if those longer trips would be covered by the offer, though it seems they would qualify. Anyone have experience with the offer that can help shed some light on it’s availability and also any tips to share on practical use? TIA
