Spain - 10 Days in March
Hi all,
We will be taking a side trip to Spain after attending a weeding elsewhere in Europe.
So far the plans are to arrive in barcelona on march 1st and return from madrid on March 10th.
I have seen recommendations to spend 2-3 days at each location. There are also MANY other places to go like Sevilla, Granada, etc., but I wonder if that is pushing things too much with the travel distances.
Should we simply split the 2 locations, or is it reasonable to add another major destination?
We would like to see and experience as much as possible, but do not want to live out of suitcases!!
Thanks.

If you wish to split the time between the two, there a number of very interesting day trips you can take from each city.
Some people like to see a place in two days ( tour bus, no museums etc), others like a more relaxed pace.
You have 8-9 day on the ground , it takes a good part of a day to change cities.
Depend on your interest ( of course).

Don't try to see Barcelona, Madrid and Andalusia in 10 days. It's just not fun to do all those trips within trips. Focus on Barcelona/Catalonia and Madrid/Toledo/Segovia and you'll have a great trip. For an even better trip cut out Barcelona, spend 3 nights in Madrid, 3 in Seville and 2 in Granada.
