Going out on a limb here - - you don't mean Rome, Georgia, do you?

For Roma, Italia, I find the six-segment map at www.italyhotel.com/roma more useful than most - - and better than what you will find on mapquest.com - - unless you are looking for a specific (and obscure) street address. Scroll down and on the right hand side, you will see a listing of the "six "zones" they use for classifiying hotels - - and a little blue grid below that.

The best one I know is at

http://infopoint.atac.roma.it/

After entering through the right map, it'll give you an array of options. The most useful is the <trip planning>. You may enter data either by address (if you know it) or by "resource" (a hotel, a cinema, a monument, a restaurant, whatever). Using a known address or resource, you may orient yourself. As a bonus, you get the public tranbsportation means that may take you between the two places. After you've played around a bit, you'll find "normal" maps very poor
