Snowboarding/Skiing in Romania or any of the balkans countries?
Can someone refer me to some sites where I can rent skiing/boarding equipments for a day? During my trip to Romania and the balkans I hope to spend some time taking up either skiing or snowboarding. Apparently you can do this in Brasov? But nowhere on internet can I find a site that state this. Can someone refer me please?
I'm also traveling to Serbia, Croatia, possibly Montenegro. What about snowboarding or skiing at these countries?

This probably won't be much help although you do mention being interested in other Balkan countries.
It is not clear from your post whether you are starting to ski/snowboard as a beginner or just want to rent the equipment.
I ski every year with my family in Bulgaria. There are 2 websites I use which have all the info you need if you go there, resorts, where to hire equipment etc, and good forums.
www.skidvd.co.uk
www.bulgariaski.com
If you need accommodation as well you could look on...
www.balkanholidays.co.uk
as they offer the full packages to most of the Balkan countries where you can ski, including Serbia. There are several other companies offering packages, Neilsen, Inghams, Crystal, Thompsonski.
Another website you may find useful is...
www.j2ski.com (click on the ski europe link)
I haven't really used this last site but it seems there is a forum for each country where you could ask questions and hopefully find out the info you need.
Good luck.

They have rental equipment in Sinaia and Azuga, Romania. In Brasov, you should look for Poiana Brasov, that's the ski resort.

Thanks guys, I've just decided to base my holiday in Brasov instead. Then one of the days, take an hour trip to Sinaia, rent some skiing equipments, take the cable car ride up, then wheee!!!
During lunchtime, take a break and visit Peles Castle most probably.
Then catch the last bus back to Brasov to spend the night.
Does that sound recommendable?

Sounds good! I am assuming you have done research on the slopes in Sinaia (even though I visited tens of times as a child I do not ski). Take the train from Sinaia to Brasov, buy the tickets the day before, if possible book the InterCity trains.
If you visit Peles then you have only half a day on the slopes, but you might like visiting the castle. Call to see when they have the English tour.
Since you are located in Brasov, Poiana Brasov is where people go to ski. I do prefer Sinaia as a town!

I prefer Bosnia for cheap skiing. Great ski resort in Kupres. Always reserve arrangement from agency - izleti na kupres .
