Smoking in Switzerland?

With more and more countries prohibiting smoking in public places, restaurants, clubs etc, what's the status of smoking in Switzerland?

All other cantons: smoking is still allowed.

If you want detailed info, wikipedia "smoking laws." You will get all bans/laws/restrictions and propsals broken out by country along with dates that they are planned to go into effect.

Thanks for the updates. I'll look at wikipedia for more info. I was crossing my fingers that it would be banned everywhere

When we were there in August, it seemed that smoking was almost required. Very smoky in many places. I'm sure it varies from place to place, though, and laws change all the time.

GDamn I wish I could quit this addiction. My next attempt will be with Rhodiola, an herbal that attempts to stimulate the dopamine. Maybe maybe

I believe Geneva and Solothurn are next on the list of smoke-free cantons. The others will follow in due time.
