Slovenia itinerary thoughts?
Hi all! My mom and I will be in Slovenia for a week or so in sept and I figured I'd drop our itinerary here to get feedback from you seasoned travelers. We enjoy hiking and I'll be taking photos so hopefully we can catch some sunrises/sunset. My mom hates caves and neither of us cares for seafood hence the lack of postojna/piran. We'll be arriving in jesenice from villach in the evening then hopefully catch a bus/train to bled.
Currently its looking something like this:
3 Days: Bohinj/Bled - 7 lakes hike, vingtar gorge, etc
2 Days: Kranjska - Maybe rent e-bikes and head over to lake fusine/zelenci/ border tripoint
2 Days: ljubljana
2 Days: Bovec/Tolmin/??
Day 9 onwards: Croatia
With this current itinerary we will reach Ljublana on a friday, but I'm still trying to decide if its worth rushing down there for the weekend events or whether we should just spend more time in the mountains since we have an extra 2 days or so to spare depending on how much time we want in Croatia.
What'd you guys think?

Are you picking up a car in Bled? Maybe it would be better to end in Ljubljana, so you can drop off the car and get to Croatia easier (assuming you aren’t taking the car to Croatia and back.)
Open Kitchen on Fridays in Ljubljana is fun, but don’t plan around it unless you are really in to fantastic food festivals.. they can be cancelled if it rains..

Five days are not really enough to go to Zadar, Split and Plitvice and then down to Dubrovnik. You have a lot of time in the mountains already, it would be better to add a couple of days to Croatia, just because of the distances in between places you want to go.
