Skied St. Anton?

I went to St Anton in January 98 with three other good skiers (I am the "average" one). As the weather was quite nice, the snow quality was not that great. In terms of slopes, the choice was quite wide and you also have access to many other ski resorts in the same valley. One point I noticed (compared with France) was that the security panels/features were less present compared with the major ski places I have been to. Also the slope maintenance did not seem to be always efficient and done on a regular basis. However, we enjoyed our trip since the village itself is a nice one and the Austrian hospitality quite good. <BR>

Hi! I skied in the Arlberg region last winter, in Lech and Zuers. I found it very nice, there´s a lot of advanced terrain, and the snow was great. Safetywise I felt a lot better there than in Chamonix, France for instance, and I also thought the place was much better maintained and nicer. Even the food on the mountain was 10 times better. The lifts are a lot more modern too.
