Simon's information

Hello Simon,
Thanks for sharing your knowledge! We will have four nights on the Malta islands. I believe we'll spend one of them on Malta and the others on Gozo (Ghawdex) and possible Comino. Looking for great beaches
snorkeling and diving. Please suggest lodging areas. Also what about this hotel on Comino? Have you ever been there? Also is there a product that Malta specializes in that we should search out?
Thanks!
Elizabeth

Many good places to visit, Malta is known for the vast amount of culture, from Pre-history (The oldest monuments in the world are found here) right through the arab, and norman period, the rule of the Knights of the Order of St. John and the French, Famous artists like Carravagio cmae here and even Eisenhower came to defend the Islands in WW2. The hotel on Comino is A 4* but you do not have a choice. Try visiting wwww. visitmalta.com for the location and the facilities offered by the hotels. Gozo is geat. and in MAlta try and stay in Valletta or if you can afford it in the luxery 5* Xara Palace Hotel in Mdina (the old city).
Have fun
Ciao

A great way to chill out. i would strongly recommend the Ta Cenc or the Kempinski San Lawrenz in Gozo. Not Comino: The island is barren. Absolutely barren. Gozo is laid back, but populated. A less costly hotel would be the Cornocopia (the staff there make it an excellent choice). If you wish to be at the water's edge you may wish to try the St Patricks Hotel.

Just a last note. The St Patricks is at Xlendi which is a good site for scuba diving. There are other sites around the coast, also at Cirkewwa in Malta (where the ferry for Gozo leaves).
