SIM Card - Anyone used AceTelecom?
Has anyone used a SIM card from AceTelecom? It looks like a pretty good deal at $29.95 (includes $10 air time) and has free shipping. The cost is $.60 a minute from France to US with free incoming calls. Of course, it would be cheaper using a call back number. It also has a number that family in the US can use to call you for $.35/min. I need to be able to call and receive calls as well. We will be staying in an apartment with no telephone. We won't need a lot of minutes, but will need some over a two week period. I have a Cingular quad band and have received the unlock code from Cingular. I know I can use the Cingular international roaming for $1.29/min - but that goes both ways. (no free incoming calls)
I have been looking at many different World SIM cards - but this one looks like the best deal so far (a lot of them have high shippng charges). The phone number is based out of Estonia with a 372 country code. We will be traveling in France, but I assume this country code will be fine since it's a World SIM card. If anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to comment. Thanks!

It looks like a rebranded http://www.travelsim.com/ card. I've one for Russia, and there it worked quite well (when it could br reached that is), however I wouldn't use it in western Europe since it's hard to reach. www.globalsim is a better deal imho.

Thanks, Logos. I called and talked to a customer service rep at AceTelecom, and they assured me that there should be no problem with reception. I was hoping that someone on the board had used this one and could give their experience. It's a good price - but don't want to sacrifice quality. Anyone else???

In general, the international cards provide good reception wherever they are listed as working throughout almost all of Europe as you are roaming on a local carrier.
It is a rebranded travelsim card as noted with an Estonian phone number and there is absolutely no reason it won't work as advertised; nobody on www.prepaidgsm.net has reported any trouble with travelsim cards.
The "problem" is you have to check rates to Estonian mobiles (assuming you are in North America) and they can be pricey for those calling you (or you setting up some kind of forwarding arrangement with firms such as voicestick or kall8.

I've used it in Spain and Portugal. Worked great! I called in the middle of the trip to get more time and it was very easy. I gave the toll-free number to anyone I wanted to be able to call me as I think it would be quite expensive for them to call the number direct from the US but it probably depends on their company and plan. My sis did say that she had to call a couple times for it to go through once. I didn't have any luck with text messages but it may have been my phone. Have a good trip~!
