We where there again a couple of day ago. There have been a few changes since our last visit, but it's still beautiful, and yes, if will be chilly in February. You can expect some snow, but the fireplaces will be lit and warm against the winter chill.
The roads will be open for those venturing up from Madrid.

The roads being open were what I was most concerned about. How "mountainous" are they? guardrails, etc. Chilly in February is relative. We are from Wisconsin.
Are the same restaurants and lodging facilities open?
Thanks for the quick replies, Je and Robert. I am sorry to be slow on my part.

The roads up to Pedraza shouldn't be a problem, but I've only driven them in late fall and late winter (early March). It's not mountainous, but a lot of the roads in the area are rural roadways.
The HOSPEDERIA DE SANTO DOMINGO should be open (www.hospederiadesantodomingo.com) and it does have a nice fireplace.
