LM3682,
Since you are interested in sunsets, don’t miss the ones on Antiparos if you decide to go there. On the western side of Antiparos Town is Sunset Beach, with a taverna where you can sit at a table and have drinks at non-inflated prices while you watch the sun dip into the sea. It’s popular, but there are no big crowds like on Santorini. If you are on Facebook do a search for the Antiparos Photo Group and you will see lots of sunset photos. Yannis, the owner of ThalaSea, is an avid photographer and posts many photos, including winter on Antiparos when the fields are green.

Thanks so much for everyone's help. I've made some good progress in finding properties on Naxos/Antiparos/Santorini. Curious if you can offer any area to focus on for Chania? We will spend the most time here so I'd like a great area. Which nearby villages should I focus on?
I will want a villa or apartment with kitchen, easy walking to a good beach and a village with a few restaurants/markets. I'd like a pool. Short drive to Chania. I read that Plantanias is very touristy and geared toward partying? If so, not for us. Agia Marina?
Thanks again!

Hi kja, thanks for that reminder that it’s not a good idea to share too much personal information with strangers. You’ve got me thinking I should look at my profiles on social media, and not include anything too specific.
As for giving advice on the travel forums, if you need to know exactly when someone is travelling you are probably overdoing it. I’d rather let people know where they can find the information themselves than to plan the trip for them. After all, we aren’t travel agents, although I know some people use the private message functions for profit.
