Sicily Bus Info
I need to go from Palermo to the town of Caltanisetta. I do not want to rent a car, does anyone have a website in English where I can see a bus schedule? An idea of a hotel in Caltanisetta?

Your best hope is that GAC sees your message and replies; he is THE expert on transportation in Italy.
I hope he is more successful than I am. I checked the Interbus Web site (I read and understand Italian) and it said there is no direct bus connection between Palermo and Caltanissetta and it even refused to come up with suggestions in which one has to change buses... (I also tried from Catania, Siracusa and Agrigento: No dice.)
Very few tourists go to Caltanissetta. Are you going because you have family there? If so, perhaps they could help with information.

Here's GAC to the rescue!!!
sueguinn: between Palermo and Caltanissetta, you've got a good choice of both trains and buses (Caltanissetta is a large Provincial Capital, and there is lots of local traffic going to and from Palermo and Catania):
BY BUS (SAIS Trasporti Bus Lines):
Leave Palermo (Mon-Sat) at 6:30, 10:30, 12:30, 13:30 (Mon-Fri only), 16:15 and 18:00 (Sunday schedules are reduced)
One way fare: 8.30 Euros

By Train (Trenitalia):
