If you really want to see Venice, I would say go. Life is too short to put it off.
I would recommend Lake Como over Paris for what you have in mind. I don't know what your budget is, but I know that at least several of the beautiful "villa" hotels (probably more) either have a car service or will arrange car service to take you to and from Milan and their hotel, e.g. Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio and Villa d'Este in Cernobbio.

We went to Lake Como in May and and stayed for 4 nights. We got a private tour guide who took us out on a boat with a driver, visiting the villa's, dining at the restaurant on the small island in Lake Como. It was one of our best days of our entire italian trip. Como is beautiful.....Paris is energetic, exciting.....Como is relaxing and beautiful. I haven't been to venice in june...but if it is something you want to see, I would go. I was glad I saw it...it isn't one of my favorite places to go, but I found it fun and interesting to see.

Have you considered buying a separate ticket of CDG-Venice-CDG and going to Venice, which is your first choice, I believe? You may find that such a ticket is not cost-prohibitive. We did the same thing two years ago and it made getting to Venice quite convenient. You'd still be using FF miles for the trans Atlantic part of the trip.
