Why not just drop the car off at Heathrow at the end of your trip? It might be wrorth the extra two days' cost (minus the fare from Turnbridge to Heathrow).

I agree about dropping it at Heathrow.

The alternative would be to research rental car locations convenient to railroad stations.

You're going to need to easily get to Heathrow to leave.

Consider Windsor. Close to LHR with frequent shuttles and you can tour the Castle and Eton.

>>with frequent shuttles <<

Windsor is a good suggestion -- but there are no 'shuttles'. There are regular local buses, or you can take cab.

With a 10pm flight you aren't in any sort of time crunch so you could just take a local bus. My guess is a taxi would be in the £25 range.

Don't know your budget, but there is a travelodge in the center of Windsor - a short walk from the castle. P retty inexpensive.

You could also keep the car - and drive the7 miles to LHR that evening. Then you could take the rental agency shuttle to the terminal.
