Short trip to Germany
Thanks for all the wonderful tips I have read about Germany.
We have scheduled only about 3 days in each of the following locations for business meetings: Baumholder, then Giessen, then Hanau. Our arrivals and departures will be by air from EWR to Frankfurt.
Our Work day will run 9-3 with only Sunday off. We Would really appreciate some input on how we can make the most of our limited time at these destinations. We will have a rental car.
Do you suggest picking one favorite site to see in each destination? We had planned to spend a couple of our last days in Frankfurt. However, after reading other posts, we are not so sure about that.
Thanks in advance.

Captain, I'm not familiar with the cities you listed, but I certainly would not spend your last days in Frankfurt. T
he Rhine River with it's lovely small towns and castles is only an hour's drive west of Frankfurt. Or, Wurzburg, Bamberg and Rothenburg are only a short drive east of Frankfurt and would provide you with plenty to see and do for a couple of days.
Almost any direction from Frankfurt would provide you with something interesting to see and do for a couple of days.

Captain1 - it sounds like you're going to be visiting some of the US Army bases. Are you looking for things to do after you're done work for the day?
If you'd like to contact me directly at [email protected] (please put something relevant in the subject line so I don't delete it) I might be able to help you.

CAPT,
Don't forget the lovely Moseltal - not my fav German wines, but super area and the Castle Burg Eltz is close to Koblenz.
A slightly longer trip is the Route de Vins in Alsace, France - my fav is the vill of Riquewihr! You will fall in love again there.
FRA is like a Steel/Glass NYC.
