Frommers has a Born to Shop series and the one for London would be invaluable for you. London is a pretty expensive place to shop so don't get your hopes up about too many bargains.

Have fun!

There's a Burberry outlet ..you should be able to find the address by doing a search above. I found the prices were less expensive in my local Burberry outlet store..but then I live in outlet heaven in FL

All the stores have sales periodically, I got a casual jacket on sale at Debenham's this past spring, 40% off as a matter of fact.

There is an outlet mall in Biecester (I probably am not spelling that right) which is about 1 hour out of London, take the train from Marylebone Station. The mall has a bus from the train station to it's location.

As for "bargains" - well you might find some at Camden Market (very very crowded tho), but it depends what you call a bargain!

Lori is referring to Bicester Village (pronounced Bister, yes I know us Brits are strange)but you will not find bargains like the outlet malls in the US. It is quite near to Oxford and if you drive you should take the M40. Street markets can turn up some good bargains but not in designer wear. The stores in Oxford St have sales, it used to be at New Year and Summer but now it can be almost any time. Happy shopping.

I don't know exactly what you are looking for, but Woolworth's (Woolies) has great prices on all the items they sell...on one of my many walks through various neighborhoods in London (this one being Kentishtown) I went into a store named Pound Stretchers that had quite a variety of merchandise clothing, shoes, toys, teapots, linens, etc.) at rock bottom prices.
