Sharper Image Battery Powered Travel Fan Question
In the thread about what you could not do without in the UK, Tracy listed the Sharper Image travel fan as something she could not do without. I, too, need the air and sound of a fan in Europe. Had no idea there was a fan out there that was small and light enough to travel with, but strong enough to do the job.
I've looked on the Sharper Image website and found what I'm supposing is the right fan. My question is -- how long will the four D batteries last if you use it all night, every night. Will I need to carry along extra batteries (D batteries are pretty heavy). I'll be gone for three weeks.
Thanks for your help.

Dallas, I looked and looked at Sharper Image yesterday for that fan. Searched under travel fan, fan, travel...nothing! Can you tell me what they call it so I can track it down? I was also curious about the amount of time the batteries last.

Considering the weight and expense of batteries, why not just buy a 220V desk fan when you get to Europe, and plug it in? I have a cheap 6" Asian one that weighs about as much as four D cells. Here's a picture of it:

Robespierre, how much does a cheap 220V fan cost in pounds, and wouldn't it be very inconvenient to move from one location to another? I had considered buying a fan but wasn't sure how to carry the fan.
