I love travel and also use the site to travel vicariously. We've been traveling internationally for about 12 years or so and go once a year for 2 to 3 weeks--not long enough or often enough. I am on the site sporatically. Sometimes several times a day and some weeks not at all depending on other demands. I also love studying the travel books. I'm compulsive about details so this helps me to fill in gaps, such as how to "best" to get to airports or some such. I like this site best, but I do review others on occasion. I think the value of the information here is among the best. The only "con" are when I see respondents become rude to one another. Then I turn out. M.

I use this site primarily & log-ins vary depending on upcoming trips, etc. We'll say on average 4x/week. We probably take 6 trips in the US & maybe 3 to Europe (Usually 1 - 3 week trip & maybe 2 - 5 day trips). I reside in Charlotte (NC) & take advantage of e-savers often. My wife is a teacher & I have a good vacation package. In addition, most of these trips are usually in conjunction w/holidays. If you seek more specific info, let me know. Happy travels.

I spend a great deal of my working day in front of a computer, and check the forum between 2 and 4 times day as a diversion. I've been reading and posting on the site for about six months.

I travel to Europe for work (with a few extra days thrown in for fun if I can manage it) about three times a year. I make an additional 4 to 6 domestic work trips, and one or two weeks of family vacation as well.

I like the fact that the site is well-maintained (yes, compared to others it's very good), searchable, and popular. There's lots of very good information and lots of generous people who are willing to share.

I participate in a number of work-related forums (nothing to do with travel) and a couple of other recreational ones, both of which I check once or twice a day (when I'm at work).

Doug,
When we were renting a car and staying in Mougins, we had to take a left turn back to our place from the main road. Several times, usually late at night when there was almost no traffic, we would be stopped behind a car that would turn left on the red light. Grant it, no one was stopped in the other direction, but it was still confusing to us. After reading the book French Toast, I understand the French tendency toward anarchy in cases such as this.
