Shannon Airport phone store

Has a phone store finally opened at the Shannon airport? I want to renew my phone Sim card when I arrive, but in the past there was no store. I hear the phone store in Gort has closed. What a business opportunity - wonder why no one has ever opened one at the airport.

The 3/meteor Phone store in Gort is still open but if you are heading North then Ennis has a Tesco and all other operators have stores on O'Connell St.

Great! Hope the new highway doesn't bypass Ennis.

Do you need a SIM card? Or do you just want to top it up?
The latter you can do at many places, newspaper agents, convenience stores, petrol stations..
And the new highway/ motorway does bypass Ennis

Yes it does but it's an easy detour. Or if you are heading as far as Galway there is now a Tesco Store at Oranmore by the Castle or on the main Shopping precinct as you enter the city from the top road.

I bought a sim card last September, but afraid I may have had the number taken away due to non-use. Going back in July.

Less than one full year of inactivity will rarely get your SIM and number deactivated.
If you want to be sure, just drop a line at your former mobile network operator's website virtual helpdesk.
Chances are good that you just need to top up.

Which Network? If its an O2 or Vodafone then just bin it and get a cheaper alternative.
