Seville: transport to Algamitas and Flamenco

Hi all,

I'm going on an exodus walking tour in Andalucia. The tour is based in a cortijo near the village of Algamitas. Algamitas is sort 1/2 way between Osuna and Ronda. I'm not taking the transport option they provide and am instead arriving the day before in Seville.

Question 1:
---------------
So, on Saturday, March 30th, I'll need to make my own way to the accomodation near Algamitas. I was considering getting the train to Osuna, wandering around a bit, and then a taxi to the farmhouse. I need to get there after 4pm, but preferably before dark.

What do you suggest? Is it easy to get a taxi in Osuna? Or, does anyone have phone numbers for a taxi service there that I could pre-book? I'm also aware that this is the easter (Santa Semana) week. Does that make it harder to get a taxi? Am I better off getting a taxi from Seville? (I'm aware that'll cost about 50 euros)

Question 2:
---------------
On Saturday, April 6th, I'll have a free night in Seville, and I would like to see/hear some Flamenco / Sevillanas. I've seen website the oft recommended http://casadelamemoria.es but, I can't figure out how to make a booking. Or am I likely to be too late for that anyway? Is there some other venue I should look at?

I'll be very grateful for any help.

I would recommend to stay with intimate Casa de la Memória, popular with tourists but only absolute top artists perform here. Two performances each night, at 7.30 and 9. Buy tickets one day in advance or try to reserve at [email protected] (they didn't use to accept reservations and sold tickets only one day in advance). Note that they have changed location to Calle Cuna 6, right in the centre of town.

World class artists such as Pastora Galván, Adela Campallo, and Rafael Campallo have performed here about once a week for the past couple of years. Pastora Galván was voted best female flamenco dancer 2010 by Spanish critics. The program for your date is not set yet, but it will be published here in short: http://casadelamemoria.es/

Maybe you're lucky! But as said, only top notch artists(singers, guitarists and dancers) here.

A clip of Pastora Galván (now on tour in New York, Washington, Tampa, Miami and London): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2SBUcrJgeQ

Later in the night (after midnight) there are several great flamenco/sevillanas bars/clubs in Triana - a true cradle of flamenco culture - just across the city river Guadalquivir.
El Rejoneo and Casa Anselma are fun and Mantoncillo is as genuine as it gets, here anything can happen:

Thanks kimhe. I'll try emailing them and will definitely go out to Triana and bar hop a bit.

Any suggestions about the transport to Algamitas?

Would be plenty of taxis in Osuna, nothing to worry about at all.
