SENA Bus From Rome to Siena

We've decided to take the bus from Rome to Siena. I just need to decide which bus to take.

We're scheduled to land in Rome at 12:40 pm. It's a direct flight, so we don't have to worry about missing a connection. I think we could make the 3:30 pm bus, but am wondering what would happen if we don't make it? Can we rebook? Are the tickets refundable?

Any advice from those of you with experience would be appreciated!

We leave in about 2 1/2 weeks and other than our plane tickets, hotel and car, we've planned almost nothing. Unlike the first trip where we had everything done way ahead of time, this trip just snuck up on us. Can you tell I'm in panic mode?

Leaves from Tiburtina station (not Termini) which you can reach by metro.

Thanks kybourbon. I already have directions to Tiburtina and have been to the Sena site to check for tickets. I'm hoping others can give me an idea of how much time to allow from FCO to Tiburtina.

Sorry, I didn't read your entire post.

From FCO take the regular metropolitan FM1 train (not the Leonardo Express) which runs more often, but makes more stops. Here's the timetable on the airport website.

If there are several traveling with you, a limo service may cost only a few more Euro. The Tiburtina station is a bit seedier than Termini.

Thanks for the information. It's just my husband and I, so the train seems to be a better option.

I'm guess I can figure an hour to get out of the airport and about an hour to catch a train and get to Tiburtina, we can still catch the 3:30 bus.
