Seine curise with open deck and Lady Liberty

I know there are 4 Seine boat cruise companies:

Bateaux Les Vedettes du Pont-Neuf: www.vedettesdupontneuf.com
Bateaux-Mouches:
www.bateaux-mouches.fr
Bateaux Parisiens: www.bateauxparisiens.com
Vedettes de Paris: www.vedettesdeparis.com

If you have been on one of these during non-meal hours, I want to know if:
1) it has open top deck
2) goes around Lady Liberty

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bateaux Les Vedettes du Pont-Neuf

I did this last August, around 9.00 pm departure. The boat had open decks on two levels. As to the Statue of Liberty, I don't rememebr well but it seems the boat turned around just after the Tour Eiffel and before Le Pont de Bir-Hakeim. The statue is on the island after the Bir-Hakeim so I shouldn't have seen it but as I said, somehow I don't remember well so I may be wrong.

www.bateaux-mouches.fr

They are the largest operation with the biggest boats. They have an open deck, go buy the statue of lib, and have the largest lights at night. The downside to the largest lights is they also attract the most bugs at night.

The Bateaux Mouches do a cruise of one hour and ten minutes, whereas the others normally go for an hour. The Bateaux Mouches web site has a map of the route which shows that they go round the statue of liberty. They are the biggest operator so are perhaps the most impersonal. Most of their boats carry 1000 passengers and have a mixture of open decks and covered areas.

Hi C,

There is also www.batobus.com that allows you to get on and off.

I've been on three (Vedettes de Paris just last week) on the non-eating cruises, and they all pass the statue. Having said that, you can visit it by going to the Pont de Grenelle, but the best view is on the Pont Mirabeau, where you get the statue in the foreground, and the Eifel Tower in the background.

At the moment, you can't get off the Metro at Mirabeau because it, like many other stations, are being renovated. Get off at Javel instead and head across the bridge.

The Batobus does not go to the statue of liberty - their downstream turning point is the Eiffel Tower.
