Spent 7 days in Paris two years ago, and went to Versailles. It was OK, but frankly, we enjoyed the rest of Paris more. You have the time to go if you want - you will enjoy other things equally well if you don't. For some people, they just plain HAVE to see Versailles, and that is OK. However, you should plan any trip to Versailles on a non-rainy day, and you also want to do the cruise on a non-rainy day. Suggest you get the cruise out of the way as soon as feasible, and plan on Versailles later - on day 4 or 5 - with a back-up plan that you can defer the Versalles visit if other things come up as higher priorities
