Sorry, francophile! I should have added "on the Sorrento webcam" for clarity. We had a virtual rendezvous with SeaUrchin and we're not sure if she showed up or not.

Ha, Marilyn, yes that was me. I was on the run we had to catch a bus to Massa Lubrense to meet a friend at Peppinos restaurant and it was scheduled to leave the train station at 7:30 and the web cam is in the middle of town.

So I traded in my pink pashmina for pink pants, it is finally warm today over on the coast.

I dont have my notes with me to give any recs, we are at the pub here in Sorrento now at the internet waiting for our friend to give us a ride back to Amalfi. That is the one problem with this area, if you dont have a car you pay an arm and leg for a cab or wait in pubs for kind friends to take you out of Sorrento.

Glad you saw us though, we ran down the street to get to the cam and then felt a little self conscious not knowing exactly what to do!

I should add, for those of you planning on coming here, that I mean the busses out of Sorrento to the other towns on the coast stop at about 830 or 9pm, so you are stuck, if you dont have other plans, taking a cab for 60 to 90 euro for example to Amalfi.

Thanks for taking the time to go to the Tabacchi shop and greeting us all at the webcam. That was great!

Enjoy your trip, SeaUrchin, and tell us all about it when you return.

How fun!

A couple of weeks ago,I had thought of telling parents to go to the Trafalgar Square webcam at a specific time when I am in London in September. Now I really am going to do it. In case, any of you don't have that website, here it is.

sfowler!! Thank you so much for posting the picture, I dont know how I missed the url last night, but I really appreciate it!

PS: pants are from Bloomingdales.

I am back at the internet, it is pouring rain, my traveling partner is asleep, local friends are busy, I just finished my book and cant find another one in English and the tv is goofy today!

OK, I am not complaining, just feeling a little dreary. Ill go have a cappucino and baba rum at Panza on the square and make it all better!

thanks again!

Hey SeaUrchin, I'm in NYC right this minute so maybe I'll head over to Bloomingdale's and see if they have any pink pants left. Unfortunately, you look like you are about a foot taller than I am, so they will look a lot better on you!

Hi >Marilyn, they are Karen Kane Lifestyle in silk, not very practical for travel, but we all have to live it up sometimes, right?

I wish some other fodorites would go over to the web cam!

(It is a beautiful day today in Amalfi I will try and find my report thread)

SeaUrchin, where do you go to get on the internet near the webcam in Sorrento? I will be at the webcam, but not until July.
