If you are in Roma, be sure you see my favorite markets are those in Campo di Fiori and the covered market in Testaccio. I prefer campo di Fiori.

Campo di Fiori is ringed by bars, wine bars, bakeries, meat and fish shops as well as restaurants. I love to go to Il FOrno di Campo di Fiori for a little bit of Pizza Rosso or Bianco hot out of the oven, or a little Torte di Ricotta. There is a stand in the market which features frutti di boschi (wild berries). We always buy a basket or two just for eating as we walk theru the rest of the market.

The Testacchio market is wonderful as well. It is also close to my favorite cheese and gourmet shop in all my travels, Volpetti. If you love cheese you can really go overboard at Volpetti!
