Screen Name Problems
I just found out that there is another "Dale" who is registered on this forum. I guess that means that screen names can be used more than once. Has anyone else come across this yet? I found out by putting my name in the search box.

Dale

It may be that the other Dale posted before 1/27/03. If it accepted your registration as dale or Dale..you are the only one who will have that name.Doesn't matter if it was capitalized or not..dale in any form is yours. dale1 or dale 2 , etc is another matter
I doesn't seem right that two people could use the same screen name. Anyway, I've just changed my name to avoid confusion. No offense to the "other" Dale - I just think it's better this way. By the way, I could not amend my registration; I had to cancel it and start all over with a new one. Surely to heavens that will end this minor problem, as I can't imagine anyone else wanting "Grammie" as part of their screen name! Have a wonderful evening everyone.

GrammieDale

Got it all sorted out! There was a reply posted today to a bunch of messages on Umbria that started way back in 2001. The "other" Dale had been one of the posters in 2001. I mistakenly believed all the messages were from today. I guess I should have looked more closely at the dates of the previous posts. My mistake - it's these darn bifocals! Anyway, "GrammieDale" it is now and forever and I'll never have to worry about anyone asking me a question about Umbria!

GrammieDale

Congratulations Grandmere! Start planning on taking your grandkids to Europe. I did it two years ago and it was one of the best trips I ever made. Then again, I'm not completely foolish - the last two trips were s only.

Welcome to grandparenting and happy travels,

GrammieDale
