Does anyone have any suggestions on sites that might provide me with some new and different ideas on scrapbooking my vacation photos? I love coming back and creating creative albums, but I run out of ideas. Anyone with some ideas or help? Thanks!

I typically save as much as possible along the trip...things like brochures, business cards of restaurants, ticket stubs, etc. Items like these add a lot of interest to your photo album and help to remind you of where you've been along the way.

Hi <BR>If you do a search on this forum for <BR>"photo" or "albums" or "scrapbook" or some such, you will find a few threads from the past with some very good suggestions about organizing souvenirs and photo albums. <BR>

Look for rubber stamps, stickers and scrapbook albums *while* on vacation. I bought a leatherbound album in Bellagio; two handmade paper scrapbooks in Paris; rubber stamp of Sacre Coeur and stickers of Paris Monuments in Paris. <BR> <BR>

If I can't find a photo album or scrapbook of the area where I am visiting, I glue beautiful postcards on the front of my albums to recognize the books at a glance. For ex., on recent trip to London I have a huge postcard of Tower Bridge on one and a double decker bus on the other.

Like Cara, I pick up anything and everything imaginable while on my vacation...postcards, brochures, business cards, stickers, drink coasters, ticket stubs, flowers and leaves that i let dry, tags from things that i buy, restaurant bills, etc. I don't always use everything, but at least I have a lot to choose from when making my scrapbook. <BR> <BR>Just last night, I started my scrapbook from my very recent trip to England, Ireland and France. On the first page, I always like to do a collage of the whole trip...photos, postcards, stickers, everything all cut out and overlapping each other. It's a real eye-catcher when you first open the book. <BR> <BR>While on my vacation, I take my photos with my future scrapbook in mind. I take closeups of things like city signs, store names, hotel signs, street names, flags, etc., so that I can cut them out and use these photos as headers on my pages. I always take lots of photos from different angles so that I'm sure to get some great ones. <BR> <BR>My philosophy is that it's a lot easier to throw away any extra photos that to go back and retake any that didn't turn out. <BR> <BR>Happy scrapbooking! <BR>

In past years I have made collages, framed and on a folding screen, using menues stubs etc. Now I have the best photo I have taken, made into note cards through The Exposure catalog. Also have an organdy curtain bought at pottery barn that has pockets. I change the display of photos and postal cards after a new trip.You could also put seashells or feathers gathered on your journey. I also try to bring back interesting stones for my tiny garden.
