I don't have ideas about the itinerary as a whole. I'd just like to say, that whatever you do, don't miss the Glencoe Valley on your way up or down from Skye. I passed through Glencoe a couple of times on my journeys, (just photostops) and I always wished I stayed for some short walks (never found the time tohugh). It's incredibly beautiful. Just nearby is a narrow (one-track) road, you drive it like 20 - 30 kilometres or so, the Glen Etive valley/ road. Ends by a lake. Check that out! Definitely worth the very small detour. Absolutely amazing scenery there!! Next time I go to Scotland I will find the time to stay for a night or two, to explore the area.
Good luck with planning

Oh and by the way, I just wanted to add that I had about 8 days in the Scottish highlands, including Isle of Skye. Looking back now, the trip was way too rushed, with too much driving. It took so much longer to drive than anticipated. In retrospect I wish we would have excluded Isle of skye, cause it was too stressful. You have a lot more days, so it might work just fine for you. Just keep in mind that driving in Scotland can take longer than you think...
