Scotland: Place to stay around Glencoe

Hi,

We will be driving back from Isle of Skye to Edingburgh, stopping in Glencoe for some walking.

I would like to stay near glencoe after our walk for a night before continuing on to Edinburgh.

Can anyone recommend a town and/or hotel? Looking for a simple place 50-100 pounds, and ideally located in some kind of town where we can drop our bags and walk to a pub for a few.

Thanks,
Jeff

Try these

Scorry Breac www.scorrybreac.co.uk

Glen Coe Guesthouse www.theglencoeguesthouse.co.uk

A bit more expensive Clachaig Inn www.clachaig.com

Hope this helps

Jeff,

I just rechecked the websites and I think The Clachaig Inn is your best bet. It meets all your requirements. It's been a while since I was there, but liked it.

The Clachaig is terrific. Good food, good music, great location. That would be my #1 recommendation if you can get in . . . .

If you're a walker, go to the Clachaig.

Another vote for the Clachaig. The beer and venison burgers are great, the other customers are friendly (being mostly from Sheffield ! ) and there may be live music on (probably just weekends).
