Thats fine. Inverness to Mull or Glasgow to Mull makes very little difference its still the A82 and across. you need about 5 hours for the drive taking it steady.

But have you spoken to the hotel and explained that you just booked the wrong nights? You are not asking to cancel just to "move" the booking.

I am confused though? are you flying from Dublin or London?

Day 1 Inverness or Glasgow makes no difference.
Day 2 from day 1 to Glengorm castle on Mull
Day 3 Mull

Day 4 to 9 to arrange. If Glengorm castle are less than reasonable.

Day 10 Iceland flight. so Night 9 by your departure airport.

I'm not an expert on Scotland's western isles but years of working contracts in and out from Aberdeen I might be tempted to slip in a little of the Spey valley if possible.

From the OP's post I would think the hotel is pretty much booked up and only available the nights he (wrongly) booked.

>>I am confused though? are you flying from Dublin or London?<<

The OP states >>Flying in to London from Asia on June 11, arriving 6:30am.<<

OK -- you really don't have a problem here. Book a flight to GLA a few hours after you land at LHR. Then sleep the night of the 11th in Glasgow -- maybe at an airport hotel since you will likely be too tired to do much sightseeing. Then collect a car at GLA the morning of the 12th and drive to Oban/ferry to Mull. It is about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from GLA to Oban.

If the flight from wherever (Dublin, Belfast and now London have been mentioned as the pre Scotland section) to Inverness has been booked its 3 and some hours rather than 2 and some hours from Paisley (worked the Park Lane night club there 35yrs ago!!)

Check ferry times on https://www.calmac.co.uk/

The whole thread has been confusing - but the only thing that has been clear from the start is that he is arriving in the UK from Asia on June 11 at 6:30 AM . . .

So now w/ the hotel on Mull 'mis-booked' for the 12th, flying to Inverness makes no sense . . . and Dublin/Belfast will obviously have to wait until after Scotland.

so sorry about the confusion.
I have to re-arrange my route so
Day 1: London to GLA then drive to oban. Stay overnight in Oban
Day 2-3: Mull
Day 4-6: SKye
Day 7-8: Inverness
Day 9-10; Glasgow
Day 11: Fly to Dublin

Hope this works!

I would not do that -- driving after a looong intercontinental flight is not at all recommended.

I would fly from London to GLA, stay the night in Glasgow or better yet at a GLA hotel, then the next morning drive over to Oban and take the ferry to Mull.

Or . . . even IF I (foolishly) insisted on driving on arrival day it would be no farther than a few miles up Loch Lomond.
