I see from you other posts that you have been planning this trip since roughly last September. If you were to try a simple search here - and I know the search function isn't the best, but it usually pulls up something helpful - you would have discovered that you will be visiting Edinburgh during the Festival. You need to book now, asap, because every hotel, B&B, whatever, will be completely booked for the month of August. Because the city is so heavily booked then, it is very unlikely that you will get a discount anywhere and you may be paying premium rates.

Try www.edinburgh.org. There is a long list of various types and prices of accomodation there. Also check the accomodations which Fodor's recommends, but perhaps you've already done that.

I'm sorry, I can't recommend a specific hotel that would fit your budget.

Oh sheesh - truppidavies, if you had mentioned your trip was in August we all would have made other suggestions.

If you are still around watching this thread, I STRONGLY suggest you book something NOW. Otherwise you may end up sleeping in the car park at the airport.

I am watching the site, and yes we will be there in August. Which I know is a busy month.
Not to getting too personal, but I am juggling a lot here in 2004 - but 3 of my friends are getting married (Las Vegas=April; Jamaica=June; Scotland=August) - and bought a house in Nove 2003. Trying to do everything, and got kicked in the butt now, because we just booked all flights/hotels and such in the last 3 weeks. Unfortunate for us, we planned the Scotland one last, as we were trying to see what the max amount of days we would have to be able to travel (Scotland, London & Brussels).

Ok, so there is our story - stop beating me up for being late, but I think I have some valid excuses!!
