Schwerin to Innsbruck

Hello,

I will drive from schwerin to innsbruck , stay in innsbruck 3 days and come back.
I would like to find a place midway between schwerin and innsbruck for an overnight stay plus few hours in the morning.
What I could find is bad lobenstein , saalburg ebersdorf , zuegenruck , schleiz.
My idea is to stay midway between schwerin and innsbruck.
Does anyone have ay recommendation and can share experience?

Thanks in advance.

Have you considered Nuremberg? It's just under halfway between Schwerin and Innsbruck, making it a convenient stop to break up the long drive. Also a great selection of accommodation.

Thanks I will take a look. I am looking mostly for small town or villages to stay overnight. Nuremberg looks like a big city.

Nuremberg has about a half-million people; it's only a "big city" by comparison. Regensburg might work; its population is only about 150K.

It's true, Nuremberg is a big city, try Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It's a beautiful medieval town and not too far from Nuremberg
