OK, let me add:
Schlewig-Holstein is a popular travel destination, however, primarily in summer. February is the coldest month and often rainy.
Still, many people like to walk along the beaches to enjoy fresh air. Make sure to take sturdy clothing with you. Bars and restaurants will be cozy in winter. Practically each larger town has a public indoor swimming-pool. St. Peter-Ording has a huge public spa:

We will be in Berlin in mid May. Can anyone suggest a 5 day itinerary that would include Hamburg and Husum. We are currently thinking about flying home from Copenhagen.
